Stochastic Analysis and Application Research Center (SAARC) at KAIST invites applications for post-doctoral researcher beginning from September 1, 2020.
In recent years, KAIST, one of the top research universities in Korea, has been recruiting distinguished scholars of both Korean and foreign nationalities. KAIST is located in Daejeon, a city with a population of 1.5 million, and its operation is financially supported by the Korean government. Most of the courses at KAIST are taught in English.
SAARC at KAIST is a Science Research Center (SRC) funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Korea. It is established on July 1, 2019, and 12 professors in mathematics and related fields are currently involved in the center.
Applications are accepted from any areas related to probability such as probability theory, applied probability, and stochastic differential equation. Successful applicants must demonstrate outstanding accomplishments or potential in research.
The standard term for a post-doctoral researcher will be 1-2 years, possibly extended to 3 years, with an annual salary level of about 50 million KRW.
